# Notifications

thig.ai sends notifications for important events across your projects, team, and account. You control which notifications you receive.

## Notification Types

### In-App Notifications

Access notifications from the bell icon in the top navigation bar. Notifications appear for:

* Project status changes
* New comments and mentions
* Team member joins
* Export completions
* Billing alerts
* Security events

Click a notification to navigate to the relevant page. Mark individual notifications as read, or use **Mark All Read**.

### Email Notifications

Email notifications are sent for the same events as in-app notifications, plus:

* **Weekly digest** — Summary of activity across all your projects
* **Drip onboarding emails** — Helpful tips during your first 14 days

## Managing Preferences

Go to **Settings > Notifications** or `/user/notification-preferences` to toggle each category:

| Category                 | Default | Description                                         |
| ------------------------ | ------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| **Project Updates** | On | Status changes, PRD generation, new versions |
| **Team Activity** | On | Member joins, role changes, invitations |
| **Comment Mentions** | On | When someone replies to or mentions your comments |
| **Export Notifications** | On | Export completions and scheduled export deliveries |
| **Billing Alerts** | On | Usage warnings, payment failures, plan changes |
| **Security Alerts** | On | Login from new device, password changes, MFA events |
| **Weekly Digest** | On | Weekly summary email of organization activity |

Toggle **Email Notifications** off at the top to disable all email notifications while keeping in-app notifications active.

## Unsubscribing

Every email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it opens a confirmation page — no login required. Unsubscribing disables email notifications but keeps in-app notifications active.

<Tip>
  Organization admins can also disable email notifications at the organization level in **Settings > General > Notifications**.
